Toe Brachial Index (TBI)

TBI is performed when the Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) is unusually high due to plaque build-up and calcification of the arteries in the leg. This happens when atherosclerosis occurs, mostly found in diabetic patients. We carry out TBI to assess the foot’s vascular condition by obtaining systolic pressure at the toe.
