Enhance Byford Podiatry offers the highest level of care and service to our patients. To achieve this, we aim for excellence in all areas; in our podiatrists, in their knowledge and experience, in the treatments they prescribe, and in the medical technologies we use.

Rather than ‘churn and burn’ patients, Enhance Byford Podiatry uses exhaustive testing in order to make the correct diagnosis and commence the best possible treatment for a condition. We are often referred to patients whose existing treatments have proven ineffective, as we specialise in hard-to-diagnose cases and rare conditions.

Under the direction of Noela Askew, we are committed to a mission of being leaders in our field for the betterment of our community. A podiatrist of 20 years, and also holding her Law degree, Noela’s analytical mind and commitment to excellence is at the core of Enhance Byford Podiatry’s ethos and achievement of results.

Treatments we offer
Thoroughness is paramount to Enhance Byford Podiatry, and our list of services includes: computer analysis for diagnosis prior to orthotic therapy, shockwave therapy, acupuncture, kinesiology taping, joint mobilisation, Doppler, neurothesiometer, and medical imaging for diagnosis.

Orthotic Therapy
Podiatrists often incorrectly prescribe orthotics to patients in an effort to hurry them through.  When prescribed appropriately, orthotics can be a life-changer – bringing relief to even chronic conditions – though when they are inappropriately prescribed they change nothing for the better. By understanding the biomechanics of the lower limbs, and then further understanding the patient as an individual, our expertise is in knowing which of the many treatments available is the most medically proven.

Shockwave Therapy
We are one of the only podiatrists in Perth with a shockwave therapy machine – one of the most effective non-invasive treatments available. Shockwave therapy is used for a range of chronic soft tissue conditions, such as chronic Achilles tendinitis and plantar fasciitis, and involves sending high-energy sound waves to the affected tissue to stimulate its nerve fibres. Shockwave therapy can be a critical precursor to other treatments and is proven to help speed up and strengthen the healing process.
