1 May 2016- PACT Nail Fungus therapy

We are now offering a pain free therapy for fungal toenails.  It uses Photodynamic Therapy which is activated by a gel.  When the light is applied, it interacts with the gel and causes photochemical reactions, which results in cellular changes within the nail to effectively kill fungi that is found on the skin or around the nail.

Please call us on 9417 9727 to arrange an appointment.

Welcome to Enhance Byford Podiatry!

We are excited to be expanding our clinic at South Lake Podiatry to Byford.  We have been serving the community, dispensing treatment and advise for the last 20 years.  Many people ask us why we do our job?  The answer is simple…we enjoy helping people!

Why come to us?

We have passion and compassion!  We will always endeavour to help those people that seek our help.  We often have people asking for second or third opinions on their current or past treatment.

5 tips for preventing corns and callous

1. Pay attention to your feet.  If there is extra pressure on specific areas, DON’T IGNORE IT.  Properly fitting footwear is essential.  Remember when you wear someone else’s footwear, they have molded to another persons foot.

2. Apply a good quality moisturizer daily.  This will help to keep the skin supple.

3. Ensure there is sufficient padding in the shoe.  Once the internal cushioning has worn down, you will be more prone to callous and corns.  At Enhance Byford Podiatry, we can help distribute pressure away from the problem areas.

4. Don’t use corn plasters or cut the corns or callous yourself.  In warm, moist confines of enclosed shoes, infections can develop easily.  Small cuts can quickly become ulcerations particularly in diabetic patients.

5. Regular trips to us will help ensure that any corns and callous don’t become a more serious problem.  You are in safe hands at Enhance Byford Podiatry, Noela Askew has over 20 years experience.
